Gift Cheques Terms & Conditions

  1. Gift Cheques can be exchanged for certain goods and services at participating retail, leisure or service outlets (retailers) within Canary Wharf. These gift cheques are issued on behalf of Canary Wharf Management Limited.
  2. At the time of redemption the name of the retailer at which the cheque is to be redeemed should be entered in the space marked 'retailers name'.
  3. Gift Cheques can provide full or part payment for goods and services. They cannot be exchanged for cash nor used to purchase foreign exchange. Change will not be given unless at the retailer's discretion. Gift cheques cannot be used in full or part payment of a store card account.
  4. Gift Cheques must be used within SIX months of the issue date, after which time they will cease to be valid. Canary Wharf Management Limited may at its discretion issue a replacement if the original is returned to the Retail Management Office together with proof of purchase, but is under no obligation to do so.
  5. Canary Wharf Management Limited nor any retailer will accept any responsibility if a Gift Cheque is lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged whether it has been redeemed or not. Nor can Canary Wharf Management Limited accept any liability for consequential or other loss how so ever caused and in any event Canary Wharf Management Limited liability shall be limited to the face value of the gift cheque.
  6. Only genuine Gift-Cheques featuring the hologram, thermochromic feature, serial number, the authorised signature and date of issue will be accepted. Retailers and Canary Wharf Management Limited reserve the right to refuse to redeem any Gift Cheques that are not genuine.
  7. Canary Wharf Management Limited reserves the right to discontinue the Gift Cheque Scheme at any time, in which event all reasonable measures will be taken to notify the public. Canary Wharf Management Limited accepts no liability for the loss or damage, however caused, as a result of participation in the Gift Cheque Scheme or as a result of discontinuation of the Scheme or as a result of one or more Retailers withdrawing from the Scheme. However, all existing gift cheques will continue to be valid until the expiry of the gift cheque.
